Dog walkers can help prevent crime. Draper Dog Walker Watch encourages neighbors to assist Draper Police Department as extra eyes and ears while out walking their dogs
Take this 6-minute online training course to become an official member of the Dog Walker Watch chapter of Draper Neighborhood Watch. Completion of the course gets your furry buddies an official DWW branded bandana.
After finishing the training, complete the Dog Walker Watch Participation Form for your bandana.
Stay Alert
Don't become distracted while walking, and stay alert to suspicious behavior around you.
Distractions can include:
- Chatting
- Emailing
- Texting
- Listening to music

Suspicious behavior can include a person:
- Wandering among parked cars
- Checking for open doors or gates
- Approaching a property from somewhere other than the front
- Trespassing
- Parking in an unusual place
- Traveling too fast or too slow
- Not using headlights when appropriate
Call the police any time a police response may be necessary.
- Know your location, including major cross-streets and travel direction
- Provide all necessary details such as height, weight, gender, clothing, tattoos, etc.
- Remain calm, speak clearly, and let the dispatcher ask you questions
- You can always remain anonymous when reporting suspicious behavior
