Council Member Cal Roberts
Cal Roberts studied politics, finance, and philosophy at Brigham Young University, where he met his wife Elizabeth. After graduating from BYU, Cal began his career on Wall Street as an investment banker working in mergers and acquisitions and leveraged finance at Moelis & Company and Credit Suisse. Elizabeth attended law school and began working as a corporate attorney. Cal worked on over $25 billion of corporate transactions working with multi-billion dollar venture capital firms and dozens of public and private companies.
Several years later, Cal and Elizabeth moved back to Utah and chose Draper as their home to build their lives and start a family. Cal also began running his own small businesses. Today, Cal owns and operates small businesses across the Salt Lake Valley and employs over 50 people. In early 2019, Cal was appointed by Draper’s City Council to serve on a local board entrusted with protecting taxpayers’ hard-earned tax dollars in his local neighborhood.
In 2019, Cal Roberts was elected to the City Council. Cal believes city government works best when our elected officials are focused on hyper-local issues. Cal is committed to working with Draper residents to make each Draper neighborhood a better place to live.
Term expires January 2028.
