[ARCHIVED] Public Notice: Proposed Surplus of City Property

Surplus Map

Draper is considering declaring 217 acres of city-owned property as surplus property. The land is located at approximately 1455 East Deer Ridge Drive, in the west end of the Suncrest area. The Draper City Council will be holding a public hearing on Tuesday, July 10, at 7:00 p.m. to receive public comment.

This property is not included in the Salt Lake County conservation easement. The Salt Lake County easement in Draper totals 4,222 acres - 1,020 in Corner Canyon, 142 acres in Little Valley and the new Traverse Range easement will be 3,060 acres.

The city has determined they do not have a need for this property. If the council decides to surplus the property, then at a future date they may then decide to sell all or portions of the property

Due to code requirements, slopes, and geological issues, the maximum number of new lots that would be allowed on the single-access road would be 30 to 50 lots.
