There has been some significant progress made on the fire with containment estimated at 60%. They are once again forecasting the possibility of winds up to 40 mph so the main focus will be to keep the containment established on the fire. The crews have been assigned to falling (cutting down) trees, maintaining control lines and mopping up a perimeter 300’ into the burned area. As of this mornings updated information, this fire has destroyed 182 structures and damaged an additional 23. There are still 1500 structures threatened. Currently 1,409 personnel are assigned to this fire, comprising of 163 total fire engines, 14 helicopters, 22 dozers, and 24 water tenders.
