?#?DraperCornerCanyonfire? update from Unified Fire Authority: UFA has determined that the fire burned 43 acres. There are still small fires burning and crews are working to put them out. There were no homes damaged in the fire. There was damage to homeowner and forest service fences.
The evacuations for the 39 homes are still in order. UFA is hoping that within the next 1-2 hours some of the homeowners will be allowed back into their homes. We will keep you updated when that changes.
The Corner Canyon Trailhead, Orson Smith Trailhead and Hidden Valley Trailhead (in Sandy) are all closed until further notice. Please stay away from the trails in this area and away from the neighborhoods and Incident Command Center that is set up at the Ballard Equestrian Center.
Draper City would like to thank everyone for their cooperation. A map is attached detailing the location of the burned acres.
