A fire erupted in the eastern foothills of Draper around 2:30 am. The fire is burning in the area above Highland Drive between Pioneer Road and Ellerbeck Lane. Thirty-nine homes have been evacuated. Crews from Unified Fire Authority are battling the fire.
Staging is located at the Ballard Equestrian Center, located at 1600 E. Highland Dr. (13675 S.)
An evacuation center has been set up at an LDS Stake Center located at 575 East 13800 South. The Red Cross is on site to assist evacuees.
