Major Road Construction Projects - Summer 2016

12300 South (UDOT)
UDOT will be resurfacing 12300 South from State Street to 700 East starting on July 5th. The project is scheduled for completion by the first week in August. The bulk of the work will be done around July 29th to the 30th. More updates with exact dates will be sent out. During these three days, crews will be working 24 hours a day and the road will be reduced to one lane in each direction. Before and after these three days, traffic restrictions will be minimal. All public and private accesses off of 12300 South will remain open during construction.

Draper Parkway – 12300 South from 970 East to 1300 East
Draper Parkway (12300 South) will be resurfaced from 1300 East to the light rail crossing at 970 East. Most of the construction on this project will be done at night. The project will start on July 5th and will be completed by the end of July. The road will remain open in both directions and all public and private accesses off of Draper Parkway will remain open during construction. 300 East
300 East is now under construction and closed to through traffic from Pioneer Road to Carlquist Drive. The road is scheduled to reopen on August 15th. Any residents not living directly off of 300 East should use an alternate route during the road closure. 1300 East Right Turn Lane onto Highland Drive
Construction to add an exclusive right turn lane from southbound on 1300 East to westbound on Highland Drive will begin by July 1st. Traffic delays on Highland Drive and 1300 East should be minimal. Pedestrian traffic will be detoured around the construction, but will remain open. The project should be completed by August 15th.

Manilla Drive (UPDATE)
The previously announced project to construct a new storm drain line on Manilla Dr. from Manti Dr. to Traverse Ridge Rd. has been postponed to the spring of 2017.

New 600 West Interchange on Bangerter Highway (UDOT)
UDOT is constructing a new interchange on Bangerter Highway at 600 West. The new 600 West roadway will connect to 13490 South on the north side of Bangerter Hwy. and 13800 South on the south side of Bangerter Hwy. I-15 (Point of the Mountain - UDOT)
In observance of the 4th of July holiday, work will be suspended at noon on Friday, Jul 1, to 10:00 pm on Tuesday, July 5. Please drive safety and obey the posted speed limit within the work zone.

14600 South Interchange (UDOT)
As early as July 7, crews plan to shift traffic to the newly paved ramps. Motorist should expect a new traffic plan. Expect ongoing traffic shifts on 14600 South and under I-15 and on the associated Frontage Roads.

Bangerter Highway On- and Off-Ramps
The weekend of July 15-18, the Bangerter 600 West project plans to close lanes on the I-15 and Bangerter Highway on- and-off-ramps. Visit www.udot.utah.gov/bangerter600west for more information.

Pony Express Road & Minuteman Drive from 12300 South to S.R. 92 (UDOT)
Nightly single lane closures with one-way flagging operations are ongoing on both the east and west Frontage Roads while crews relocated utilities. Expect short-term delays and an increase in nighttime noise and construction activity thorugh fall 2016.
