[ARCHIVED] Snow Removal During Upcoming Winter Months

During the winter season, it is the goal of Draper City to help keep the community safe for all residents and visitors. We ask that you remember the following during the upcoming winter months.

1. During the winter months, all residents and business owners are required to keep the sidewalks around their property/business free of snow and ice. You are asked to please shovel the sidewalks anytime they are obstructed and or within 24 hours of a winter storm. Please ensure there is no build up of ice. Draper City Municipal Code 7-13-030(g)

2. We ask that you place any snow that it shoveled or blown, onto your own property and not in the street. Snow pushed into the street may cause a hazard for drivers and also plows. Draper City Municipal Code 7-13-030(H)

3. No person shall park a vehicle on any street within the jurisdiction of Draper City during the period from November 15 through April 15, between the hours of 1:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. As a rule of thumb, we ask that vehicles not be parked on the street during snow storms either, so that the plows can easily plow the streets. Draper City Municipal Code 14-5-101
