From Monday, May 1, through Sunday, May 7, Draper City Public Works and Whitaker Construction will implement the third and final water shut down to the Traverse Ridge Transmission Line to repair a number of significant leaks under the pump station located above the 4-way stop. This shut down should not affect water service to homes and businesses if we are able to maintain sufficient levels in the water tanks. We need the cooperation of all water users in this area to conserve water to ensure the water tanks do not get too low as we complete this critical work.
During this shutdown, we will not be able to fill the water tanks that serve the area outlined on the map linked below (south of Potato Hill, SunCrest area and adjacent). Absolutely no outside water use should take place during this time. Please leave your irrigation systems turned off at the main irrigation valve to avoid the loss of water from undetected leaks in your irrigation systems. Such leaks can have a significant impact on the overall water usage of the system. We appreciate everyone’s cooperation in this conservation effort during this project – it makes a difference.
