The Draper City Council has approved a letter of intent to purchase approximately five acres of land adjacent to existing city property along Pioneer Road (east of City Hall) in the area of 12460 South 1100 East. The purchase price is $7 million. The City is interested in this purchase to preserve the continuity of City property in the city center/historic district. The property is owned by Boyer Company and Ivory Development, LLC.
Following this preliminary agreement, the City has up to 60 days to process a rezone that is necessary for the proposed housing development to be realigned as illustrated on this concept plan map. A public hearing will be held as part of that zoning process. A date for that meeting has not been determined but will be announced.
