Draper City has recently been designated a Healthy Utah Community, presented by Get Healthy Utah and the Utah League of Cities and Towns.
To qualify for the Healthy Utah Community designation, Draper City established a Community Coalition (Draper Wellness) and implemented a number of other strategies within our community to promote health, including development of trails and other recreational activities for a variety of user types and preferences, safe prescription drug disposal and free gun locks offered by Draper PD, installation of an all-abilities playground, access to a community garden, and more. The designation was presented to us at the Utah League of Cities and Towns Conference on April 22, 2022 and is valid for three years, at which time we can reapply.
This designation is a great opportunity to showcase the work our community is doing to support healthy living for all residents. More information about the Healthy Utah Community designation can be found at GetHealthyUtah.org/HealthyUtahCommunity.
