[ARCHIVED] Draper Visual Arts Foundation Scholar's Competition

DVAF 2022 Announcement

Continuing the annual tradition of promoting the development of artistic talent among high school students in the Canyons School District area, the Draper Visual Arts Foundation is hosting the Art Scholar Competition. The Foundation is offering awards between $300.00 to $1000.00 for winning entries.

The competition is limited to senior students in public and private High Schools within the Canyons School District area. Entries must be original framed works of art (not copies from magazines or other works) including watercolors, oils, pastel or pencil paintings, photography and sculpture. Students may enter no more than two pieces. 

Submissions will be accepted until 5:00 PM Monday, April 25, 2022, at Draper City Hall (1020 Pioneer Road, Draper, UT 84020).  Artwork will be on display in the foyer of City Hall from April 25 - May 2. The art show and contest are open to the public and will be held in the foyer of City Hall, with judging completed Monday, May 2. Following judging, an awards ceremony will be held at 7:00 PM in the Draper City Council Room. Participants will collect their pieces after the ceremony.
