Ordinance #1475, City Initiated Chickens for Familial Gain Text Amendment (Legislative Item)

This text amendment is on the request of Draper City Approval will adjust the number of chickens allowed for familial gain, and further clarifies the text. The item ties the number of chickens allowed for familial gain to the size of the property.  At the January 28, 2021 Planning Commission meeting the Planning Commission unanimously forwarded a positive recommendation of the ordinance to the City Council. At the February 2, 2021 City Council meeting the item was continued to a future meeting with directions to staff to make additional changes to the proposed ordinance allowing for more chickens to be allowed on larger lots. Those changes have been included in the approved ordinance.
