There are two significant construction projects taking place in Draper City this summer that we would like you to be aware of. The two projects are listed in detail below. We understand these projects will cause inconvenience and longer travel times. The attached map shows the construction areas and alternate transportation routes.
13200 South Road Widening Project
Draper City will be working on widening the road on 13200 South and Fort Street in order to provide additional capacity to accommodate traffic and pedestrian travel to the two new schools in Draper (Draper Park Middle School and Corner Canyon High School). New sidewalks will also be installed for the safety of students walking to school.
The intersection of of Fort Street and 13200 South will be closed from from June 6 to July 4.
13200 South will be closed between Fort Street and Bear Hollow Drive from June 6 to August 13.
Alternate routes to navigate through this area are: 700 East, Maiden Lane, Stokes Avenue.

1300 East Water Line Project
WaterPro will be installing a new 10 inch line on 1300 East from the roundabout at Pioneer Road to Draper Park Middle School.
Work will begin on this project May 27 and will be completed no later than August 16th.
1300 East will be reduced to one lane between the hours of 7:00 am to 7:00 pm. Flaggers will control traffic. During off hours the road will be restored to two-way traffic.
There will be some temporary closures during working hours only on some side roads and in front of homes along 1300 East. Signed detours and advance notifications will be provided to affected residents.
There will be some temporary water outages as the trench progresses.
During the Draper Days events (July 17-29), two-way traffic will be maintained on 1300 East at all times.
