PUBLIC HEARINGS
Vacating the Right-of-Way of Wheatfield Way & Wheatfield Cir.: ITEM APPROVED
This application is a request for approval to vacate public rights-of-way known as Wheatfield Way (40 West) and Wheatfield Circle (13015 South) in the Greenfield Farms Subdivision. The rights-of-way area is approximately 91,036 square feet. The property was recently rezoned M1. The Greenfield Farm Subdivision has been purchased by Exeter Draper Land LLC with the intent to develop it into a commercial development. The public rights-of-way must be vacated in order to consolidate the land into a new single lot and move forward with the redevelopment process.
2020 Water Conservation Plan: ITEM APPROVED
The 2020 Water Conservation Plan outlines the progress in which water consumption, based on the measured standard of the number of gallons used per capita per day (gpcd), is trending toward the conservation goal the city adopted in 2014 of 183 gpcd of usage. In 2019, within the city's water franchise area, the usage was 186 gpcd. The 2020 Water Conservation Plan Update provides four water conservation activities to facilitate reaching the city's conservation goal. These four programs are expanding and cooperating with partners and other agencies in wastewater reuse, continuing public education programs, evaluating and strengthening conservation ordinances, and installing advanced metering infrastructure and enhancing leak detection.
2021 Mayor Pro Tempore: ITEM APPROVED
The council elected Councilmember Tasha Lowery as Mayor Pro Tempore to act in the absence of the Mayor for 2021.
New Active Transportation Plan for Draper: ITEM APPROVED
The Active Transportation Plan ("ATP") was created to complement and bring together the existing Draper Transportation Master Plan and Parks and Trails Master Plan. The Steering committee from Draper Consisted of Eric Lundell, Brad Jensen, Pete Kane, Todd Draper and Jeff Stenquist. Some of the supporting stake holders involved in the project included, WFRC, UDOT, UTA, Move Utah, and Bike Utah.
2021 Council Assignment List: ITEM APPROVED
The council reviewed and made changes to the Council Assignment List for boards, commissions, and agencies in 2021.
