Background
In 2018, Draper City surplussed a portion of the Deer Ridge property, located in the Suncrest area just west of the Maple Hollow Trailhead Park. The city’s original plan was to sell a small portion of the property as half acre estate lots, with a maximum of 30 possible homes.
New Tentative Plan as of July 2020
The tentative plan is to sell approximately 10 acres as a single estate lot and add the majority (approximately 245 acres) of the Deer Ridge property into the Traverse Range Land Conservation Easement. This will allow for additional trailheads and potential multi-use trails to be developed and accessed by the community. The off-leash dog area will also remain in place. This protects the land from housing development and preserves the natural environment in the area. View the flyer with map.
Single Estate Lot on the Market
The approximate 10-acre portion will be sold on the market as a single estate lot. This portion was chosen to be sold because of its proximity to the existing paved road, utilities, and the ability of the property to be developed. This lot is located at approximately 1455 East Deer Ridge Drive. Draper City contracted with CBRE to begin marketing the availability of the property. It will be on the market starting in August 2020.
