As we enter warmer weather, please be aware of the fire codes Draper City and Salt Lake County have in place for residential fires and open burning.
Small recreational campfires are allowed. Fuel area cannot exceed 3 feet in diameter by 2 feet in height. Burn only dry, clean, natural materials.
Residential open burning is not allowed in Salt Lake County. Residential burning is considered clean yard waste, grass clippings, weeds and tree trimmings.
Agricultural burning is allowed without a permit in Salt Lake County. This is limited to agricultural and horticultural operations. Burning is limited to ditch banks, fence lines, field stubble, orchard pruning and controlled heating to prevent the freezing of crops.
