[ARCHIVED] Thank You from the Draper Police Department

Sgt. Johnson Memorial

On behalf of the family of Sgt. Derek Johnson, the City of Draper, and the Draper City Police Department, we offer our heartfelt gratitude for your prayers and assistance during this very trying time.

On September 1, 2013, Sgt. Derek Johnson made the ultimate sacrifice in his effort to be of service and to keep our community safe. Derek’s dedication and revere for law enforcement, his love for family and friends, and the momentous tribute to his life will never be forgotten.

We are grateful for the efforts of many public safety agencies, Draper businesses and the caring residents of the City of Draper who came to our aid upon hearing the tragic news of Derek’s death. We received a tremendous amount of help with the detailed preparation of the funeral services. The outpouring of support, compassion, and shared grief helped us all get through this very difficult time for which we are deeply indebted to each of you. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
