[ARCHIVED] Open House: widening of 13800 South from 300 to 980 East

13800 South road widening

Draper City will be holding an open house on Wednesday, December 5 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm to provide information regarding the widening of 13800 South Street from 300 East to 980 East, which is scheduled for construction in 2019. The open house will be held in the Council Chambers at Draper City Hall (1020 East Pioneer Rd).

We also encourage you to contact our community ombudsman, Bill Knowles, to get on the email list for project updates. He will be available for the duration of the project to answer questions and address concerns from the public.

Email: Knowles.bill@att.net Project Hotline: 801-580-2626

About the Project:  Draper City is reconstructing 13800 South in order to facilitate safe property access and smoother traffic flows. They will be adding shoulder designated bike lanes and continuous sidewalks along this increasingly busy street. The addition of new curb and gutter will also improve drainage and storm runoff. The first phase of the project will begin in the next 45 to 60 days, which will involve widening of the East Jordan Canal Bridge, at approx. 450 East. There will be a secondary water line replacement starting just west of the canal. The main portion of the project is slated to begin in early to mid March.
