Local Landfills & Hazardous Waste
Hazardous waste may be hiding in your home. You don’t have to look far to find products that can quickly become household hazardous waste. Common potential hazardous waste include poisons, corrosives, toxins and flammables such as the following:
Fuels, paint, pesticides, yard care chemicals, many cleaning supplies, batteries, cooking oil, automotive fluids and products, aerosols, fluorescent light bulbs, devices that contain mercury, televisions/monitors, computers and peripherals, and cell phones.
Hazardous waste can cause house fires and accidental poisonings. If this waste is stored or disposed of improperly, it may seep into our environment and poison our land, air and water. Please protect your home and our environment by properly disposing of your hazardous waste at the below drop-off locations.
