Youth Mountain Biking Header

Join us for great adventures in Youth Mountain Biking. Operated by certified SimplyMTB Mountain Biking Coaches, participants learn the basics and rules of mountain biking while enjoying our great Corner Canyon trails. With a 6:1 rider-instructor ratio, this program has proven to be an awesome time enjoying the outdoors.

Who

The Youth Mountain Biking class is divided into two clinics.

The Youth Mountain Biking Beginners Class is for youth ages 6 - 15. These single day, 90-minute clinics teach students about bikes and safety, how to shift gears, stand on pedals and work on small obstacles. Riders will not be required to ride on dirt trails but must be able to ride a bike.

Youth Mountain Biking - 4 Day Clinics are for youth ages 10 - 14. Based on skill, these clinics are divided into Intro to Trails and Intermediate Sessions. Riders must have a mountain bike (not BMX) in good working condition. Helmets and a spare tube are mandatory. Additional gear to protect hands, wrists, elbows, etc. are all strongly recommended.

Important Information for the Youth Mountain Biking - 4 Day Clinics

Youth Mountain Biking - 4 Day Clinics build on the skills the students learn throughout the week. It is very important students attend the first and second day since we work on essential skills that will keep them safe on their bikes.

We will be leaving the parking lot five (5) minutes after start time every day.  Your rider should show up early and be ready to ride on time.  We use the additional five (5) minutes for bike safety checks.

If your student took the Intro to Trails clinic last year, the Intermediate Sessions would be a great follow-up clinic. For information on which class would be best for your child, please contact instructor Jamie Bangerter at (801) 661-8338.
