Mayor's Youth Council

Mayors Youth council 2018 smallThe Draper City Mayor’s Youth Council provides youth an opportunity to increase their knowledge of civic education through practical hands-on experience. The Youth Council is composed of students in 9th-12th grades who are charged with representing youth in the City of Draper. The Mayor’s Youth Council will:

  • Involve youth in local government through participation on local boards and committees.
  • Increase volunteerism among youth and adults in civic affairs.
  • Enhance civic education through teacher / community training.

2022-23 Commitments and Expectations Agreement - Bring to mandatory Student/Parent Night

Executive Committee interviews will be Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at 5:45 PM. 

Interviews with Mayor Walker will be held Friday, May 13 and Tuesday, May 31 from 3:00-5:00 PM. We will contact you with a sign up sheet to schedule your interview if you were accepted.

Annual Events

The Youth Council will volunteer at city events, such as:

  • Easter Egg Hunt (April)
  • Draper Days Children’s Parade & Draper Days Parade (July)
  • international Arts & Crafts Festival (September)
  • Haunted Trail (October)
  • Tree Lighting Ceremony (November)
