Adult Mountain Biking Clinic

Draper Recreation is excited to offer our Adult Mountain Biking Clinic!

You wouldn't start skiing without a ski lesson, why start mountain biking without knowing the basics? Whether you are new to the trails or brushing the dust off your bike, this Beginner Fundamentals Clinic is for those who are dedicated to learning or refreshing the fundamentals of mountain biking! During this clinic, you will learn the skills it takes to stay safe on your bike, gain confidence, and Learn to Love Mountain Biking! Our goal is to help you apply what you learn to all aspects of your riding.

After our skill building drills, we will go on a short ride each day to put your new skills to the test.

 Skills We Will Cover:

  • Body Position
  • Brake Control
  • Terrain Awareness

Student Requirements:

A properly working mountain bike. Be sure your mountain bike is tuned and ready to ride. If you have any questions about this, please reach out and we can point you in the right direction.

  • All students and coaches are required to wear a bike helmet.
  • Repairs are common on the trail. Please be sure to have a spare tube in your pack.
  • Bring a water bottle.
  • Face mask or buff.

Platform pedals are strongly recommended for this clinic to work on proper technique.
