Draper City Winter Snowshoe/Hiking Class 2022
Don’t let winter get you down. Escape the inversion and gray skies and join other Draper residents on a winter hike. Starting in January, Draper City Recreation will be providing a snowshoe course on Draper’s own extensive trail system. Come enjoy an introductory level guided snowshoe adventure with other outdoor enthusiasts. This four week program will feature a new trail every week to introduce the winter recreation opportunities right out your back door! Snowshoes and poles will be provided along with information from your guide on the area’s history, flora, and fauna.
The trails we will be using are within the Protected Watershed Area. Please leave your dog at home.

What to Bring:
Be prepared for cold temperatures as we will be spending approximately 2-3 hours on the trails and away from our cozy vehicles. Remember to layer up with clothing other than cotton; as cotton will absorb sweat and cause your body temperature to drop. Even though it will be cold, you will be surprised by the work out snowshoeing will provide. Below is a list of items you should bring each week:
- Winter Gloves
- Winter Boots–waterproof and insulated
- 2 quarts of water
- Snacks
- Extra clothing
- Beanie or other type of hat
- Sunglasses and sunscreen
- Small backpack
Program Registration Cancellation/Change Refund Policy:
- A $10.00 bookkeeping fee is non-refundable for each program registration.
- Refund requests for cancellations/changes made before the registration period/deadline has ended will receive a full refund minus the $10.00 bookkeeping fee.
- After the registration period/deadline has ended, a refund of 50% of the program fee will be offered.
- No refunds will be offered once the program as started, beginning with the first class, first lesson, coaches meeting, etc.
