Mayor & City Council
Draper City is governed by a Mayor and City Council who are elected by the people of the city. The Mayor and City Council act together as the Governing Body. All Governing Body members serve four-year terms. The Governing Body, being the elected representative of the people, adopts all ordinances and resolutions and determines the general goals and policies.
City Council meetings are held on the first and third Tuesday of each month, unless otherwise noted. The study meeting begins at 5:30 p.m. and the business meeting (public hearings and action items) begin at 7 p.m.
Beginning June 1, Draper City will transition back to in-person meetings as COVID-19 guidelines have changed. A virtual option will continue to be offered. The general public may listen to the meetings live here. Audio recordings are also available at that link. If a person wants to make a comment via email or wants to speak during the Public Hearing portions of the meeting virtually, email your request to firstname.lastname@example.org to receive the Zoom link.
